The 27-year-old Budaj finished his fifth pro season with a 5-5-2 record, 2.64 goals-against average and one shutout in 15 games for Colorado a season ago.
Since breaking in with the Avs back in 2005, the Czech native has gone 86-70-23 with a 2.74 GAA and eight shutouts in 197 contests.
Koci played in 43 games for the Avalanche a season ago, and scored once with 84 penalty minutes. The 29-year-old winger has compiled just two goals and three points in 107 NHL games with Chicago, St. Louis, Tampa Bay and Colorado, along with 381 penalty minutes.
